I was going to write her, but didn’t know what to say. However, because I needed to reach out to inmates in prison, to let them know about my brother book G.A.B.O.S. I knew she would be the 1st person I’ll tell and somehow I knew she would have my back. Just from the little time we had in prison walking and talking about what we was going to do when we got out. How we was going to do everything right and not go back to D.O.C. It’s funny because I never saw her doing anything like what she is in for. I understand what she did, but I needed to know why she did it, because the person I knew was nothing like that. If she had I had, if I had she had. And we had dreams. I feel as if we are in that movie with the 4 white kids who when looking for that dead body. I believe its call Stand by Me. But the only different is some of the stories you are about read - the body or bodies wasn’t hit by a train.
As you read each stories, keep in mind they are all true, just the name of the friends and victims are change. However, each inmate name are true and each stories is just from them writing and talking to me as if I was there with them or they are there with my brother telling him the story face to face as he write it down.

Carletha,
How are you do? I don’t know if you remember me, but I’m writing because I need your help. I need any and all inmates that read to know about my brother G.A.B.O.S. He wrote was he’s in doing time in prison for something he didn’t do. However, he wrote a lot books and this is the 1st one we have publish. And if you want to tell your story. I’ll try my best to get it out. Here is a stamp and envelope to let me know what’s up & little something to past around.

Author Tyler Gore Treats His Readers with a Gripping Fiction
“G.A.B.O.S.” is a transfixing story that offers to its readers a glimpse of the complexities and tricks in the game of life
First-time author Tyler Gore makes an entrancing debut into the self-publishing world as he releases his book, G.A.B.O.S., an interesting book which reveals the truth that there is no sympathy when it comes to making fast money. In this gripping book, readers will witness the game of life come into play as the intriguing characters unravel some truths that will surely give them chills and thrills—and share with them lessons worth emulating.

G.A.B.O.S. is a transfixing fiction that follows the story of three teens coming together to find a way out of the project and a better life for their families. As Fatboy, Pokey and Flick begin to start the ball rolling, they learn that in the game of life, they can’t have sympathy for anyone who gets in their way. Through their story, readers will discover what it takes to lead and play the game—that it is not just a simple, pretty game; it is fierce and life-changing. Unlike other writers who wrote about what they think they know what happen in the streets, Gore tells what really goes on in the streets from real people.

Through this book, readers will find some things they see but they don’t seem to think about. These scenes will let them understand the complexities of life, the challenges of existence and the need to learn the tricks—the ins and outs in the game of life. G.A.B.O.S. will remind the readers how cruel this game can be, it can take their lives, send them seven feet under or into prison, if they would let it.

About the Author
Tyler Gore was born on October 26, 1979 in Ocala, Fla. He was the only boy out of 3 sister siblings. His father was in & out of prison, because of crack cocaine. As a teen he witnessed his oldest sister going to prison. Today Tyler sits in prison for a crime he didn’t do. While serving time Tyler has written several books as a way to help his family the best way he can. He has always place the needs of family & friends ahead of his own interest. His choice of putting everyone before him lead him to his incarceration. Tyler often listen to inmates who volunteer to share their stories & unique situations before they went to prison. Each one excited to see how their lives are depicted in his stories. His writing is like giving a rapper some words or a direction to freestyle too. Of course the law of the streets dictates names and places to be change, because some untold stories the law will never know of. The author hopes that his books will help our kids out today and let them know they only have one life—and they should not lose it to the game, because the game isn’t no game.

I wrote back saying Thanks for helping us(talking about myself and my brother) And I let know I came up with this idea for a book , I’m calling untold stories with 5 men and 4 women inmates who are doing time in prison for life. Plus, I give her 2 envelopes with stamps on them to write her love ones and told her I’ll send a different envelope so she can write me back with.
Plus letting her know I can be slow with back all she had to do was ask my two brothers.

Hey, it’s me again, off top I’m down. I always wanted to do my story even started and tossed it. I want to tell it. How should I do it? I want me to be me everybody else name can be changed. Now the dude is dead who I’m serving this time behind. You can format or whatever. I want my truth to be told – my face out there. I also sent the info on G.A.B.O.S. to my brother who’s in state. I also introduced your book request to get stories. He’s sort of connected to mine. The dead dude number one factor. Here are a few clipping see some of the story already. I believe my story is a book on its own. Synopsis x convict fresh out of prison, wifey, mother, dancer, drug dealer old lady with the brains . Hustlers went to college in society and graduated from the real ride or die. All the above most of all never scared. I’m changed now though. I do serve god. He is good to me. Let me know what you want me to do. I for sure want to tell my story. I need help, I’m broke. I get some change you know how it is. I don’t have no friends. I’m not a recluse I socialize but not tough. I’m not into the drama. I’m just trying to live, (go home) get this time off me. I have clemency in 2017. My daughter need me. My mom do too. Take care
Look forward you get at me soon
                         Carletha

As I read the newspaper clipping, I was blowing away. I didn’t know what to think or how to feel. When looking for anything on YouTube, but found nothing. My friend I never knew her dark side till now. I knew she didn’t let anyone push her around. We all had to fight for that, because if you don’t the loins will eat you. I knew that in there. I grow up in there & now I know my friend really grow up in there. I guess it true out all the people you meet and 1 out of the 5 you call friend will end up dead or back in prison for good. I guess my friend was that one. Here is the clipping she give me:

Hey Boo,
Sorry you was feeling down. However, I’m writing the book as we write each other. I see your photo in the newspaper clipping your hair all done and everything. I remember when we was walking and talking in the yard. I never saw this for us. However I do miss talking and laughing with you. Let’s see if we can make some money. All I need you to do is talking to me as if I’m there with you.
Tell me something you can remember from when you was a child, lets began there you can keep the names the same. I’ll change them that why you don’t have to remember what name you give who. If we get it done by taxes time I’ll get out. So let’s see what happen.
Tiffany G.
P.s.
I have two brothers in prison, but I can try to send a lil a month. We only have 1 book out and I’m waiting for that cash to come in. but the lil I have you can get it.

If you don’t like it let me know.

Now I Wait

As I wait for her letter to return, I was look up some information on her. I really couldn’t find much, but and appellant that was opinion filed October 25, 2006 (Case No. 1D05-5120). The news clipping she give me. I just was lost on the part under her photo with the court officer places handcuffs on her, as she said, “I don’t care where this trail goes. … I don’t think I should be tried for this twice.” Over and over again it was in my head and I couldn’t figure it out.  My friend didn’t care, but I remember I was thinking like them all of you who was reading the same clip. All you saw was she didn’t care, but she did. The thing is people like us don’t know how to say our words the way you want us to say them. If I was to word her same line like this:  “Why should I care where this trail goes, I’m being tried twice for the same charge & I know it’s against the law. “ Now she sound as if she care, but she know there is nothing she can do, right. Not to sound racist, but that how most blacks end up behind bars, because they sound as if they don’t care and when they get out they’ll going to do it again. Don’t believe me let’s take Halloween for example: If I get dress up for Halloween some people will say I’m a wicked woman and I worship the devil. Just from looking at what I’m doing on what day. However, I read my bible every morning and I believe in the Most High & I feel it’s what in my heart, because my creative give me each day I live, not the devil. I’m just saying if we go by looks or what someone sounds like we will get it wrong every time. I don’t know if we (as in me and you who’s reading this book) will be mad, sad, or happy at the end of. I just know right now we have to keep an open mind. And just wait till she’s done telling her story. Because she never was given that. So let’s find out together who Carletha Purifoy who I call my friend.
